Tablas Creek Vineyard is a highly regarded wine producer located in Paso Robles. It is credited with planting some of the first Rhône varieties in the region.The flagship wines are Esprit de Tablas and Esprit de Tablas Blanc. The red is based on Mourvédre with Grenache Noir, Syrah and Counoise. The white is predominantly Roussanne with smaller amounts of Grenache Blanc, and Picpoul.The company also makes a range of other Rhône-style blended and varietal wines. Other varieties grown include Viognier and Marsanne; another seven varieties were recently imported to the estate nursery.The estate was formed as a partnership between the Perrin family of the esteemed Château de Beaucastel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and Robert Haas (d. 2018), the founder of Vineyard Brands. Robert’s son Jason manages the day to day operations.
