First, the grains are dried over peat flavoured smoke to give the whisky its unique smokiness. After this, it is aged for six years in casks specifically chosen by Ardbeg for this limited edition. Lastly, it is non-chill filtered and bottled at cask strength making it extra full bodied. This medium to full-bodied whisky has an aroma of smoky campfire with subtle hints of coffee and dark chocolate. On the palate, you will experience notes of bonfire toffee intertwined with salty sea spray and spicy pepper with a hint of light orange peel. The finish is long lasting and full of complexity featuring flavors of sweet molasses and smokey oak.
