In 2014, Balvenie released two fifty-year-old single casks filled on 28 May 1963, each matured in a European oak hogshead. Cask 4570 is the sweeter of the two, displaying notes of toffee, honey and oak.

Two European oak hogshead casks were selected by malt master David Stewart for bottling. Both were filled on the same day in 1963, and left to rest in Balvenie’s famous warehouse 24 for 50 years. Cask 4570 produced just 128 bottles.

Nose: Malt, oak and delicate spices with blossom honey, brown sugar and vanilla toffee.
Palate: Syrupy toffee sweetness, honey and vanilla oak with subtle spices and a tangy edge.
Finish: Very long, carrying delicate spices and warm honey.
