The Benromach 22 years 2003 – 2025 Wu DRAMClan Exclusive marks a historic milestone for the Forres distillery -its very first collaboration with an independent bottler. Originally planned as a single cask, the project evolved into a small batch of four carefully chosen casks, each reflecting a facet of Benromach’s character.

Two sherry casks delivered creamy, nutty and slightly mineral notes reminiscent of old-school Speyside whisky, while two bourbon casks contributed exotic fruit -mango, papaya and coconut -along with a touch of coastal smoke and salty depth, evoking an island-style influence. The decision not to choose, but to unite, resulted in a whisky of extraordinary depth and harmony: both classic and modern, bold yet refined.Highly recommended!

Tasting Notes

Nose

Rich and inviting with layers of tropical fruit, roasted nuts, dark chocolate and gentle smoke. Hints of honey, citrus zest and mineral freshness add brightness and balance.

Palate

Silky and layered with sherried sweetness and bourbon vibrancy. Notes of walnut, hazelnut and caramel intertwine with mango, papaya and a touch of briny smoke. The structure is elegant yet full of energy, perfectly integrated.

Finish
