Blair Athol distillery stands at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands in the picturesque town of Pitlochry, Perthshire. The village stands close to Blair Castle Blair with the Blair coming from the Gaelic blar (a plain) and Atholl being more likely to come from Ath-fhodla (‘New Ireland’).
