Origin: United States
Distillery: Boone County Distilling Co.
Originally opened in 1833 in Petersburg, Kentucky, Boone County Distilling Company was once the largest distillery in the state. It eventually closed its doors in 1918, to be reopened nearly a century later in 2015 in Independence, Kentucky. The first releases were mostly sourced from MGP, but Boone County Kentucky Pot Still Bourbon Whiskey marks a very special occasion. It’s the debut of their very own spirit. Distilled from a mash bill of 74% corn, 21% rye, and 5% malted barley on a 500-gallon copper pot still, this whiskey was patiently matured for more 5 1/2 years before being bottled at 94.8 proof. Full-bodied and complex, it’s a well-aged and flavor-packed sour mash bourbon.
