American single malts, for us, really is about the marriage of traditional pot still malt whiskey distilling methods and aging in the traditional American style by utilizing freshly charred oak barrels. Add another element that is the Colorado climate, and we’ve been on a trail towards new flavors since the first barrel was filled. For our American Single Malt: Bottle In Bond, that journey means spending 4 years in #3 char American oak barrels and, as per law, bottled at 100 proof.
