Released as part of the Vintner’s Trilogy in October 2017, this 18 year-old single malt matures in two types of casks. For the first 13 years, it ages in ex-bourbon barrels. The whisky is then transferred to former ex-manzanilla sherry casks for the remaining 5 years. The whisky was warehoused entirely in Bowmore’s No. 1 Vaults. Bottled at 52.5% ABV.

The result is a perfectly balanced combination of peat smoke and Seville oranges. Non chill-filtered and bottled at a natural cask strength of 52.5% abv.

Nose: Treacle, blackcurrants and spiced Seville oranges with salted caramel, subtle menthol and chamomile.
Palate: Bursts of peat smoke and bitter Seville oranges.
Finish: Dry and long lasting.
Distillery Information
Bowmore is a distillery that produces scotch whisky on the isle of Islay, an island of the Inner Hebrides. The distillery, which lies on the South Eastern shore of Loch Indaal, is one of the oldest in Scotland and is said to have been established in 1779. The distillery is owned by Beam Suntory who also own the Auchentoshan, Glen Garioch, Laphroaig and Ardmore distilleries and produce the Teacher’s Highland Cream blend.
