For the first time, Ichiro Akuto’s celebrated distillery presents an official ten-year-old expression – a symbol of a decade of dedication, precision and artistry. It captures the evolution of Chichibu from a small craft operation to one of the most admired names in modern whisky.

This release combines spirit matured in bourbon, sherry and Japanese mizunara oak casks, creating a whisky of remarkable balance and depth. The region’s mountainous climate, with its dramatic temperature shifts, accelerates maturation and contributes to Chichibu’s signature richness and complexity.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Elegant and refined with honey, pear and vanilla, followed by hints of peach, floral honey and a touch of sandalwood from mizunara oak.

Palate

Smooth and full-bodied with caramel, citrus and apple, balanced by oak spice and a hint of white pepper. The texture is silky, with wood influence beautifully integrated into the bright fruit.
