Cragganmore Distillery

Cragganmore Distillery is located in the Speyside region, near the village of Ballindalloch in Moray. Founded in 1869 by John Smith, an experienced distiller, Cragganmore has a rich history and is known for its high-quality single malt whiskies. The distillery is located on the River Spey, which runs from its mouth in the North Sea to deep in the Highlands.

The stills used in Cragganmore’s second distillation (the spirit stills) are unique because of their flat top with a special shape of the lyne arm, which contributes to the complex and layered flavour profile of their whiskies. Cragganmore whiskies are known for their smooth and elegant flavour, with notes of honey, flowers, fruit and a subtle spiciness. The distillery matures its whiskies mainly in ex-bourbon casks, which ensures a balanced and refined flavour.

Cragganmore is a key component in Johnnie Walker blended whiskies and, as a single malt, is prized by connoisseurs for its complexity and finesse. The combination of an idyllic location, unique production process and high-quality whiskies makes Cragganmore a respected name in the world of Scotch single malt whisky.
