Fortunella is made with kumquats (also known as golden oranges) which are sourced in season from China, India, South Africa and South America. As liqueurs go, Fortunella has a relatively low sugar content, meaning the true fruit flavours can really shine through. The name Fortunella was inspired by the discovery of the oval kumquat, by explorer Robert Fortune way back in 1846. Its apothecary-style bottle and label mirrors traditional Chinese herbal remedies.
