Meet the producer
Bodegas Ontañón is a 5th generation, family-owned winery in Rioja Baja (now Rioja Oriental). Raquel and Rubén Ontañón continue the family tradition, crafting wines with elegance, balance, and a true sense of place.
Production
Only produced in exceptional years from select vineyards: Tempranillo from La Pasada and Graciano from La Montesa. After a long maceration, the wine is aged 12 months in 60% American and 40% French oak (used and new) and a further 24 months in bottle before release.
Tasting notes
Aromas of bramble fruit with spice and delicate floral hints. The palate reveals ripe plum and blackberry flavours, complemented by bright acidity, subtle minerality, and earthy undertones. Silky tannins create a smooth, elegant finish, reflecting its eight years of maturation.

Ideal with lamb, roast pork, or mushroom risotto.
