The cynical ones around (and that did include me initially) might think this is cashing in on the cult TV series. On tasting, though, this whiskey should be taken a lot more seriously- and not just because it has just won a Gold Medal in the San Francisco World Spirits competition. There is considerable depth at play here with some well balanced flavours of citrus, stone fruit and hints of cinnamon spice.
