This fine expression was created at the world famous Yamazaki distillery using peated malt. The distillery have created peated expressions before, but they are few and far between, and only a tiny portion of peated spirit goes into their flagship expressions, so this is certainly something a bit different. It brings elegant, gentle notes of sweet fruits, creamy caramel and a subtle nuttiness, all backed up by that every present whiff of thick peat smoke. A really fine creation that has us hoping for more peated Yamazaki whisky at some point in the near future.

Nose: Aroma is very pleasant.

Palate: A splendid taste with a warm feel to it. Not to smoky but silky smooth.

Finish: Clean,crisp and smooth.
